A persistent paradox in the labour market is the growing number of young unemployed graduates and those with equivalent post matric qualifications eager to enter the world of business management. However, the business sector regards them as ‘unemployable’ because they lack the necessary day-to -day organisational experience and realities. The GTOP provides an accelerated development for these emerging managers. The programme is designed to fill the gap by flexibly combining core management courses with selected personal life skills and sector-relevant electives per cohort. The aim of the programme is to transform participants into self-reliant managers by providing them with the critical tool-kits required for a successful management career.


Programme Structure

Graduate Trainee Optimization Programme (GTOP) is specifically designed for fresh graduates who intend to fast track their career growth and aspirations. The programme focuses on developing employability skills and entrepreneurial skills in youths who are relatively fresh from school in six (6) different business areas:

  1. Human Resource Career
  2. Sales & Marketing Career
  3. Project Management
  4. Consulting Practice
  5. Customer Services
  6. Entrepreneur

Each course has been developed to directly reflect real-life on the job experience which most employers seek. GTOP will admit and build the capabilities of 15 – 25 Graduate Trainees per course module. The Top Five (5) participants from each class will be offered INSTANT employment while the most valuable participant will receive a free gift (terms and conditions apply, see below)!

Target Participants

  • Graduates from any tertiary institution (University, Polytechnic etc.) with second class (2.1 or 2.2 only) in any discipline
  • Corps Members: Should have or about to finish National Service (NYSC) within next 6 months
  • Candidates waiting for NYSC scheme call up letter can also attend.
